The Gate family came to visit for Christmas. We took a trip to the museum. Little Easton loved playing on anything that had a steering wheel. I love spending time with family.

Here are the kids with their favorite things from Christmas.
Savannah did an awesome job at her concert. Her small group choir of girls sounded like angels. Savannah also had a duet during her concert and did very well.
Kaylie performed in her choir and in the band playing the clarinet. She assured me that she was not the one squeaking, she is doing well with learning how to play the clarinet this year.
The gardner didn't return our call so Jacob attacked the trees outside. Here he is in the tree. It took three weeks to get all of the branches to fit in the garbage. He did a good job.

Hannah played beautifully in her band concert. Jacob and I got to spend the week before Christmas together while the kids were still in school. We got to visit and help at the kids classes, attend concerts and spend time together alone. We had a great time together and also got to enjoy time with the kids after school.

Paige got student of the month in her Kindergarten class. She is one of the few readers in her class and she loves to go to school.

Nate earned his Wolf badge and a couple of arrows because I had him do too many requirements. It is good for him. Good job Nate!
We took a trip to the museum on Veterans Day. The kids had a great time and they loved sitting in a police helicopter together they got to see it land and they let kids take turns sitting inside. There was also a canon that went off, tanks parked to look at and utility vehicles.

Lookin good! I love how the kids still play so well together.
Paige got to go to school wearing her costume this year and she was so excited. She was a witch at school, Rapunzel at the Trunk or Treat and Little Mermaid for trick or treating. A big perk for being the baby is being able to pick from all of the costumes throughout the years.

Paige's first performance in front of the whole school was so cute. It was apple day.
Savannah's volleyball team went undefeated. She enjoyed her team and improved this year. Good job Savannah!

Kaylie is in volleyball and she is doing really well. She does so well serving that she has to give the ball up because it is not allowed to make so many points with one player.

Grandma and Grandpa Krumm came for a visit before they left for their mission in Africa. We loved spending time with them and we love hearing about their adventures and experiences.
Kaylie ran for Vice President and did a good job on her speech. Maybe next year.

Nate is loving football this year. Jacob ended up being able to be one of the coaches this year and they both loved working hard as a team. Jacob was so good with the boys. They made it through a perfect season but lost the last championship game in overtime. Above is Nate making a touchdown.

Savannah is in her new choir dress. She was so upset when I signed her up for choir this year but now she is loving it. She tried out for the advanced choir this year and she made it. She is loving being in a small choir of girls that all sing well.

Paige's fifth birthday party

Jacob and I were able to get away to a wonderful weekend together at Mamoth Lakes. We took mountain bikes and went on some pretty crazy trails. I scuffed up my chin but other then that it was such a great break and lots of fun.

Paige loved being on stage again this year. She did a Daisy Daisy song she is the one waving. She also got to do swimming lessons again this year and she is doing so good.

We got Six Flags passes this year and had a great time going as a family. This is the last day of school when the girls took their friends.

We always love our tradition of spending the day with family on Memorial Day. This year we celebrated Kaylie's birthday as a family. We miss those who have passed on but we celebrate their lives by spending time together.

We decided to camp near a lake and this is where we ended up. It was great all except the camping was actually a parking lot with trees behind it. We still had lots of fun and the kids loved it. We went fishing, played in the water and made some smores. The kids even got to feed a deer from their hands in our site!

Celebrating Grandpa Bulkeley's birthday and Savannah's Birthday. I got him the gardening hat but took it back and got one a little more manly. It was the best hat I could find late Saturday night. Love you both!

Savannah is in Young Women's now. I can not believe that my daughter is growing up so fast I remember so well being in Young Womens myself. I know that she will enjoy it and learn and grow so much.

We had Tanya over for the celebration and it was her birthday so I made a cake and we celebrated. Happy Birthday Tanya!

I started school this month to start getting my teaching credentials. I guess I felt bad that the classes were only at night so I got the kids a new trampoline and basketball hoop. I was hoping they could spend more time outside and make it a little easier for Jacob. I am missing the kids but need to get it done. Paige is starting school next year so I will be able to start teaching. That will be such a change for us, I have been home with the kids for over twelve years.

I was out for the weekend with mom, grandma Richards, and Tanya to the Time Out for Women. I was so much fun and I came back ready for anything. Jacob got to take the kids out while I was out, he took them out for sushi.

Savannah and Kaylie did track this year and loved it. Savannah did the best at shot put and Kaylie made it to the final meet for high jump and her 400 meter relay, she ended up getting 5th place in the Kern County. I love watching them find things they are good at and that they enjoy. Good job girls!

Father Daughter Dance. Paige will be able to go next year when she starts school. The girls came back and showed me some of the dance moves Jacob showed them. They had a great time.

Savannah got to go to Camp KEEP this year. She loved it and it sounds like the camp is still the same as when I got to go.

Jacob and I got to get away for a weekend to the beach. I went golfing with him and some guys from his work. I did pretty good I surprized myself. Jacob is really good and I am glad that I got to see what he always talks about when he has a good golf day. I love it when we get to have time together it does not matter what we are doing it is always great.

Savannah got her first rose this year. It was even made out of duck tape.

After the triathalon we took a trip to Long Beach. It was cold this time but the kids still had fun.

Jacob broke his record in his triathalon this year one hour fourteen minutes and thirty two seconds. He was so fast I missed him at each transition because he had already passed. The kids loved watching him this year he had a big cheering section. Good job Jacob we are proud of you!

We went to the beach, the kids brought their suits and we thought they were crazy but I think Jacob and I were the only two people without suits on the beach. The weather was awesome.

Our yearly trip to the snow, we were a little worried on the way if there would be snow but our spot did not fail us. We lasted for hours, the kids even complained about being to warm.

Our poor kids got really sick this year. We still carried on and had fun but it was not their favorite Christmas.

All of the kids got to see Santa this year. Savannah wants a bike, Hannah wants a telescope, Kaylie wants DS games, Nate wants an electric scooter, and Paige wants a Barbie movie, "The Three Musketeers." We will see.

My mom and I made it into the Masterworks Chorale here in Bakersfield. Here are pictures of us performing some of the Messiah and what we at first didn't think we liked but ended up liking the most, the Vivaldi. I had a solo starting O Come Let Us Adore Him. We performed with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra except for my solo it was acapella. I really enjoyed singing with this big experienced choir and with my mom.

Paige will not go to bed without Daisy now. Daisy stays there until she is asleep and sometimes all night. We tried to keep her off of the furniture but she is such a cuddler.

What is Thanksgiving without a puzzle. Everyone helped this year.

We decorated right after Thanksgiving. The kids are getting better and better at decorating. They have certain ornaments they want to put on every year. I love the tradition.

Daddy even plays barbies with Paige. She is starting to play with the boy doll because her barbies need a boyfriend now. A little early and scary!

I got to make candy with Grandma Richards this year. I love her english toffee and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the fun day, Paige got to hang out with grandpa.

We had a new addition to the family. Daisy needed a home and we thought Buck would like a friend. She loves to cuddle and she is a full grown dachshund.

Jacob and Nate had an awesome time this year doing football together. Jacob was a little more excited then Nate some days but Nate ended up really enjoying it and doing very well. He even made a touchdown!

Paige got to dress up for dance class. She is in the baby class this year at Dancer's Workshop, the same place I was taught to dance. Her teacher this year is Kathy Corea, she was also my teacher in dance growing up. Paige is really enjoying learning so much this year. She seems to be very graceful and is keeping up with the older girls.

Nate just started tackle football and I do not know who is more excited, Jacob or Nate. Nate is loving it though and he has surprised us with doing hard tackles and running to just the right place. We are looking forward to see him through the season get better and better. Jacob is coaching him at home as well and Nate loves it.

We had a full day on the 4th. We started with the scouts breakfast where Hannah and Nate performed with their primary class, and we watched the show at Bret and Jeanee's coldesac this year. The kids loved the sparklers and we missed Savannah and Kaylie, I just realized I have never seen them with a sparkler, I am sure they had fun too.

Paige is 4! Wow, one more year and she will be in Kindergarten! She had a build a bear party at our house this year I couldn't find the bear skins so I made them myself, but it was worth it they had a good time. Paige knows her ABC's and she is starting to learn the sounds, she calls it the card game whenever we get in the car. She is still a very picky eater though and does not like to clean up her messes but she is working on it.

Here is Paige sitting next to Chester Cheetah, we were in a Philipino parade for Jacob's work. I am sitting behind Cheetah, Paige sat with me while we were moving it was fun but really hot! I am just glad that I didn't have to wear the Cheetah costume. Jacob was giving out chips with other employees and he was having such a good time surprizing everyone with his Tagolag.

My brave girls are leaving for the summer again. We will miss you!

Pimples already! I don't remember this happening so soon but the girls took care of it. Hannah was giving them step by step instructions.

We all got together for Father's Day, I love living close to most of the family and being able to get together and celebrate. Jacob, Thad, Sam and Brent, aren't they cute!

Sometimes you just have to not worry about the mess and enjoy the mess. I was shredding bills and stuff that we didn't need and had the idea of letting Paige play in it and she had a blast! I have to admit I had some fun too.

Paige loved performing in her first dance recital. She sang and danced to "A your Adorable." We have since seen her perform over and over whenever there is any family around she will perform with or without her cousin Andy who was in the same class. What Paige does best in this dance is the hip, hip, hip part, she really gets into it.

We had family over the night of Kaylie's birthday they grow up so fast.

On the last day of school I took to kids to a painting studio to celebrate how well they all did this year and also to celebrate Kaylie's birthday. We were there for a couple of hours and they loved it.

Savannah is already missing her teacher Mr. Pennel. She did so well in his class and enjoyed going to school each day. I can't believe she will be going to Middle School next year and to the same school I went to, she is looking forward to it and I am not so sure.

Another year is over and Kaylie did so well this year. The poor thing had been needing glasses but just told me this year and now she won't take them off because the world to her is so much clearer. She still pulled off her A's though and enjoyed her year with Mrs. Endsor.

Savannah told me I should come to her awards ceremony at school and I am so glad I did because she got principals list again, and because she got it last year too they gave her a medal with her name on the back, she got a bar for her letter from last year, and she got a trophy for Social Studies. Savannah loves doing well in school and I never have to worry about her getting her work done and ontime. Good job Savannah!

We got to have a picnic and enjoy the sun with Grandma and Grandpa Krumm

Open House night is always crazy for our family. It happened that both schools our kids go to had their night at the same time again. We lost eachother for a while and missed a couple of things but we got to everyone's classroom and got to see how well they are all doing.

Savannah, Kaylie, Hannah, and Nate all took piano this year and they are all doing good and enjoying it. I love to see them so excited when they can play a song and you know they know it well because to them playing it very fast and loud is the goal.

This mother's day we got to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa Bulkeley and Krumm. We also got to see Grandma Richards. They all surprized me with breakfast in bead and all their gifts they made at school and Activity Days. I felt very loved.

Kaylie turned nine and had her party early because she leaves for Georgia in June. We had a little cake because the dessert was a chocolate fountain and it was a little crazy with lots of girls and one fountain. We also had drawing lessons. Kaylie planned the whole thing.

Kaylie's class had a Mother's Day presentation. They made us a book that I love, they had a song and a poem I love these moments.

I got to go the Wind Wolves Preserve with Hannah and her class on a field trip. We didn't see any wolves but they had lots of things to show us and we learned a lot. It was so pretty and I didn't even know it existed.

Paige had her first swim lessons this year. She screamed the first two days but as soon as princess prizes were on the line she ended up realizing it wasn't so bad. She can swim to the steps and do her monkey crawl now. This is the last picture with the red shoes we finally were ok with replacing them.

Memorial Day tradition. Visiting Grandpa Bulkeley and Grandma Richards grave. We got to also play on the fun island at Grandma and Grandpa Richards house. I love this tradition and all the cousins that come into town for it.

The girls and I made our first quilts together and I have to say they were naturals.

Our new favorite game is one I made based on the game Settlers. It is called Saints and we collect testimonies, scriptures, prayer, priesthood, and the Iron Rod to build our churches, roads and temples. We got to go camping at Wishon and we took the Petersons with us this year. We had fun but it was still a little cold and Kaylie fell on our hike.

The last day of Paige's preschool group. All seven of us switched off weeks and had fun teaching these cute kids. Paige was the only girl until the last couple of months and she loved it.

Savannah started playing the clarinet that I played in Middle School. She is already doing a very good job and only squeeks sometimes. I love that she is enjoying it.

The girls performed their gymnastics moves they learned this year and earned their ribbons. Good job girls!

This is probably the last year I will get to have the girls match dresses. They are growing up so fast and we love sharing the holiday together with everyone in the family.

I decided to get the kids an above ground pool this year so trips to grandma's house didn't have to be an every day thing. They are loving it and so am I.

This is the trap the kids made for the Leprichans this year. They had their favorite food, and some shoes that needed repairs. They watched the trap for hours but they must have missed when the shoes were fixed and moved.

Savannah had her first surprize party for her eleventh birthday. Her friends even got the rats into it. We made our own carnival and won prizes they all had a good time. Oh, and here is my attempt at the cake Savannah wanted.

Yosemite

We just got back from our Yosemite vacation together. This was the lookout on our way to the park and it just kept getting more and more beautiful. The kids were troopers and they loved the hikes. We stayed warm in our tent trailer and even put on our snow clothes to hike to vernal falls the third day because it was raining. We exhausted the valley and did everything before Wednesday morning when we had to leave before we got stuck without snow tires because we woke up to snow all over the ground and it just kept snowing all day. We made it out and had an awesome time together. I will post more pictures later it is getting late.

The kids got to spend most of the night in the tent trailer watching movies. We are getting ready for our trip to Yosemite.

Savannah got Student of the Month!

Savannah was in a play at school and had a narrator part it was about the constitution.

I got to run away with Paige and mom to visit my sisters. We had the best time together crocheting, shopping, watching chick flicks and enjoying spending time together. I love you both and thank you so much for letting us visit. Grandma and Grandpa Bigelow also visited Tanya's house and I loved seeing them too. Thanks for making the trip for us G & G. We love you!

January update

I just had to document this moment. We started doing Sunday Stations more and the kids love it. We have four stations for 15 minutes. Scripture reading, journal writing, reading the friend or scripture stories, and fun stuff. They love switching and it makes our day 100% better. We still miss a week here and there but I just love watching the kids enjoy learning about thee gospel and themselves.

Jacob came home from work and joined Paige in her house. Then all the kids joined in the little tent, I heard both screams and laughing, they will always run at the chance to play with daddy.

Savannah made it to the spelling bee this year. She made it through three rounds and then misspelled suave. She knows that word! She was so surprized that she missed it too. I am still proud of her and she had lots of fun.

We had three eight year olds for a couple months but Hannah is now 9! She got to celebrate with her family and friends and she got all of her crafty things she has been wanting. Unfortunately all the toys we got her she needs an adult to do with her so we have been busy. She got to have a couple of her friends spend the night too, I think they got about 6 hours of sleep and they were not tired at all the next day. I am glad she had fun they are growing up so fast.

The Family Piano

This piano was bought by my great grandparents on my mother's side of the family. Since she was the first grandchild on the Bigelow's side she got to take the piano. We all learned how to play the piano on it and now since Savannah was the first grandchild we have it in our home. The kids all love to play and we are getting used to it. They all just started getting piano lessons last week and they are excited.

Our pond is finally done! It took three weekends. Dad, Thad, Jacob and I all worked on it and I am so greatful that my brother knows about all the electrical wiring and my dad is the pond expert. We love sitting outside and listening to the water falling it is very relaxing, we were in need of a peaceful place in our home.

Paige just started dancing with the same company I danced with in my younger years. She is even in the same class as her cousin and she just loves it. She is quite the natural for a three year old and her poses are so cute too. Kaylie, Hannah and Savannah started gymnastics also. This has been their dream for many years and I just decided I would just make it happen. I hope my tutoring students keeps coming. I love watching all of them be so happy and excited doing what they love.

Mind Flex

Well Santa came through in Georgia. The girls got their mind flex. All the kids and Jacob gave it a try. I was fun but we have a lot of practicing to do. I never knew we had the power to move things with our minds.

Nathaniel's Baptism

Nathaniel was baptized today Jan 2, 2010 by his father to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are so proud of his decision to take his first steps of Exaltation and he is so excited. After his baptism he told me that he feels different and he said it with a huge grin on his face. He was confirmed by his father, uncles, and grandfather.

We found snow as we always do on the 1st. Although it is usually up to our knees at our spot this time of year it was just enough to go sledding. We also got to go on a hike because the snow was light this year and we found an abandoned cabin. We stayed warm and had a great time together.

Our Early Christmas

This year is our year with one child so instead of waiting until January to celebrate Christmas with the rest of the kids we decided to celebrate the Thursday before Christmas a week early. The kids thought the idea was great and we had a great time celebrating our Savior's birth a little early this year. This is them lining up in the hall as tradition youngest to oldest, and all the kids with their blankets I made them this year they loved them and took them to our other tradition of looking at the Christmas lights. We also had our own Christmas Eve the same night with a program put on by the kids.

I found my old clarinet and fixed it up for Savannah to play at her school. She is already doing very well and loves to learn more and more notes and songs. She did well at her concert only squeeked once. Then she performed in her choir and I know she will continue to sing also she has a very pretty voice. Good job Savannah!

Santa Claus and Mrs Claus came over to our house this year to ask the kids what they wanted for Christmas. Savannah wants a Mind Flex, Hannah wants a hula hoop, Kaylie wants a DS, Nate wants a basketball hoop, and Paige wants dresses and shoes for Christmas. They have been pretty good this year but we will see.

Primary Car Drive In and Toy Drive

Savior of the World

Jacob, Kathy, Sam, Savannah, Nate and I got to be a part of the Savior of the World put on by our Stake. We had a wonderful experience. Jacob played the part of Joseph, I played the part of Salome, Kathy was Tirzah, Savannah was a girl, Sam was James, and Nathaniel was a temple boy. After practicing for only two months we performed for the Stake Thursday November 6th, Friday and two shows on Saturday. We made new friends, saw old friends and felt like we were part of a big family through it all. We are so glad we were able to perform together and share our testimonies of the Savior.

Our pre school group came to our house today and we had a little Halloween party. We had a great time with stories, songs, crafts and snacks. Paige loves being the princess of the group.

Trunk or Treating with cousins

Here we are picking out our pumpkins after the Fall Festival. We got to go to a trunk or treat the next day and carved our pumpkins for family home evening on Monday. It isn't even Halloween yet but we feel all celebrated out. We had to get the pumpkins done early because we are busy with the Savior of the World play all week.

Kaylie was our star of the Rock and Roll play she performed and sang in. She was a crazy 80's girl and she could not believe I used to wear my hair in a side ponytail.

Our two tennis players loved learning a new sport this year. They both decided this is what they wanted to try and they were both good at it and looking forward to getting even better. Good job girls.

Kaylie decided to do volleyball this year and she is doing so well already. She serves over most of the time and loves being with her teamates. GO KAYLIE!

We went to a nearby campground to go fishing and it was a little colder then we thought it would be. We didn't have any matches but that didn't stop us from finding a way to light a fire. We found some coals that were still warm and got a fire going.

I got to escape to visit my sister at their new house. We had a great time fishing, shopping, and we even got to go to a small fair in town. I loved spending time with Tenille and Matt. Thanks for letting me visit.

The favorite part about the fair for all of us is the animals. We haven't missed a year yet.

We took our crew to Hurricane Harbor for the first time this year and we had a good time. Paige didn't like anything except the Lazy River but everyone else had fun and tried most everything.

We got picked up in a lemo and went to the country club for dinner for Jacob's work. He works so hard for us and I hope he knows how much we appreciate all his hard work.

Jacob's fourth Triathalon and he broke his own record. He made it in after swimming, biking and running under 90 minutes. It was so hot though that he had a heat stroke and we had to spend the day at the hospital afterwards but he said it was worth it because he did better then his goal.

Grandma Krumm took out the kids and they were so surprized and excited after school. We went to the movie Up and then went to McDonalds they will always remember thier time with Grandma this year.

Happy Birthday Jacob and Steve. We got to celebrate at Tahoe Joes together this year and ended it up with an ice cream cake at home. The boys got to go golfing all day too.

Paige has been talking about how she wants to go to ballet and dance like Barbie. Those are her favorite movies to watch. So I decided to give it a try. She was so worried about her hair, her clothes, and her shoes that she wouldn't stand infront of the mirror and would not dance. She did the same thing the second time so I guess we will be waiting another year.

Belnap campground campfire stories.

Here we are infront of the Lake house we stayed at with Grandma and Grandpa Bulkeley, Great Grandma and Grandpa Richards, Thad, Brittany, Andy and Sam. We went to the lake every day with three sidues to play on. We had a great time together. We even camped the week before the lake in tents. We all love camping together and we are so greatful we got to spend time with all our family. We were loaded down in the car so tight packing for two trips but we got through it but it wasn't the most comfortable and quiet trip.

First day of school. Savannah 5th grade and Kaylie 3rd grade. Hannah 3rd and Nate 2nd.

The kids ask to go to grandma's house to swim every day. They would swim all day if we could. They get along so well and they love playing together. I love that they enjoy spending time together. Thanks mom for letting us visit so much we love you.

Jacob and I got to escape for the weekend for work. We went to Catalina and had a great time together. Our room reminded me of Paris but overlooking the ocean and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are at a small Hawaii. We love spending time together and enjoying beautiful places.

Paige started pre school. She is the only girl with five boys and she loves it. She doesn't have to share any of the dress up clothes and toys.

This is how Paige falls asleep most nights. When I go to bed I move her. She now has to have both blankets at night.

I got to go back to Disneyland with Paige and Grandma Bulkeley. This time Paige had her Tinkerbell costume on and she loved everyone calling her Tinker Bell all day. She even got to meet Tinkerbell and she loved all the rides. She expecially loved Peter Pan's Flight that she missed last time because she was already asleep. I loved sharing the day with one child, she had all our attention the whole day.

We got sparklers for Paige in the morning and she carried it around all day and couldn't wait to use them. She was not afraid at all and she did a good job at being careful. We went to the block party and watched everyone's fireworks together. The kids all played the whole time. They did water balloons and rode their bikes.

This month we have been having fun with Paige. We were at a practice to sing for Jacob's Aunt's grandson's farewell (we sang We are as the Armies of Helaman I love that I can sing with my husband it is so cute how nervous he gets) and we stopped to hear the live music at Edwards. Jacob knows someone from the band of course, here is a picture of Jacob dancing with Paige.

Jacob got to go to a Dodgers vs. Angel's game at the Angel's stadium for work while I got to go to a 12 hour scrapbooking day with my friend Jaime. I got to get most of my Europe trip done from 2004. Thanks to mom we had a day off. Thanks mom!

Father's Day was full of fun. I was in charge of footprinting all the kids in the primary while Jacob was in the panel of Fathers answering questions behind a big sheet. Hannah and Nate knew it was him quick but everyone else got a little confused with the cowboy accent he was using. We had family over and celebrated Fathers Day together. Jacob is an awesome father, always there for the kids when they need him and always wanting to spend time with them whenever we are together.

Now that Savannah and Kaylie are gone for the summer to visit their dad in Georgia we made new friends with the Kingstons. The kids got together almost every day. I am spending more time playing with Paige too now. Here we are singing Hannah Montana songs on the Wii. Paige loves that she gets a microphone. She is a good singer. She misses the girls, for a while she thought the girls were at school but after a couple of weeks and seeing them on skype she now understands where they are. Poor Paige.

The first week of Summer

Kaylie got baptised a member of the church. It was such a special time for me to see our third baptism. I felt the spirit so strong when Jacob layed Kaylie into the water. She is such a special daughter of our Heavenly Father and she has so much to offer all who are in her life. We are so proud of you Kaylie and you are such an example to us.

Here we are at Disneyland. We went for Kaylie's birthday this year. Grandma went for her birthday the next day and we stayed for two days so we enjoyed the park together.

The big hit of California Adventures is always Soaring over California for us.

Paige got to meet the princesses for the first time this year. She visited them when she was one but she didn't know what was going on. This year she was the only one of the girls that wanted to stand in line to see them. She was horrible in line and almost gave up but all smiles meeting the princesses.

This year at Small World we saw all the princesses and disney characters they added here is Jasmine and Aladin on the flying carpet. Seeing Paige's face was the most entertaining part. I love seeing new things with my kids it takes you back to being a kid yourself.

Jacob did another triathlon this year. He improved his time to 92 minutes this time. We were all busy sleeping when he left so we couldn't cheer him on this year. He loves doing these races it keeps him in shape and he loves the competition.

The fruits and vegetables of our labors are coming like crazy. The cucumber Paige is holding is the only one for this year. The strawberries were not going crazy either but I think they were getting eaten so fast that we never got them into the house. The raspberries, blackberries and blueberries are the same way. We have an overabundance of tomatoes though. I even canned a ton and didn't even dent it.

Kaylie is 8! For her birthday this year she wanted a Luau. All the girls got to get dressed up, limbo and learn a hula dance. They all did very well and loved performing for all the parents. Kaylie is growing up to be such an awesome young girl. We are so proud of her and love her so much.

We stayed in Vegas for a night and played at the Mandalay Bay pool all day. The kids were not ready to leave the pool after being there from 9am to 6pm. We ate at the Rainforest Cafe that night and they were falling asleep at their plates.

With Savannah's troop's cookie money this year they got to make a cd together. They sang at a real recording studio and made a cd of High School Musical songs. They felt like rockstars and I loved watching her do something I have always wanted to do. I can tell that Savannah is always going to love to sing she already has what it takes.

This is our favorite family outing together. The girls and I did it first on our own one day when Nate and Jacob were busy. We ride our bikes to the "Rocket Park" where there is little water park, rock climbing and the swing monkey bar. We let them play and on our way back home we stop at Jack in the Box that just opened down our street and have dinner.

This is quite the adventure getting all the stuff , kids and even dog to the park.

I took Hannah, Nate and Paige to Kaylie and Savannah's class parties on their last day of school. They were completely full of treats and the girls loved sharing their brother and sisters with everyone. I can't believe summer is already here!

The girls got to deliver their blankets they made for the new NICU center at San Jauquin Hospital. They even held up one of the babies for them to see. Three news stations came to document it and Kaylie got interviewed. Girl Scouts has given the girls so many good experiences and they had fun but we are done with it now that all three girls are now in Activity Days. I am not going to miss being a leader but miss the time we shared together though. I am sure we can still earn things on our own.

I took sicky Paige to Savannah's last awards assembly. I was lucky Paige did not throw up all over like she had been. Savannah earned 150 point club in AR points, Honor roll, and a letter for her sports and trying out for Treasurer.

We got to take care of a kitten about 10 days old for two weeks. The mother died and we fed it with a little bottle. It was either being fed or held the whole time unless they let it get some sleep. They all love the kitty and now they can visit it at grandmas house.

For Memorial Day we all went to Great Grandpa Richards house and we filled up the pool just like we used to. We even got out the fun island and that was a little crazy but lots of fun. Great Grandpa was still in the pool with the kids in his 90's giving them rides in their tubes just like he used to do for all of us. We love him so much and have so many good memories with him and much more to come.

This is Kaylie's performance and the first time I was able to get a picture of my child on the stage! She is the one with her arms up she is a little ahead of everyone else but it was so cute to see and she loved being on stage.

Back in Grandma Bulkeley's pool again. The pool is finally warm enough for the kids but not quite for me or Paige. They swim as long as we let them and constantly ask to go back. I am so glad we get to visit mom and the kids get to play.

The rest of May

When the kids get hot they play squirt gun war in the backyard. It seems to be more fun if they don't even take time to change. They have a great time and cool off quick.

We celebrated Dewars 100th year. We ate ice cream of course, rock climbed, pony rides, petting zoo, games and got balloons made by a clown.

One of our last adventures with Girl Scouts was at the Kern County Museum. Here is Kaylie making bricks out of mud and sticks to make a house.

Another year completed. We got to visit Savannah's room. We just figured out that her teacher was friends with my sister growing up. What a small town. Savannah did well this year. The only B she got was in her advanced math class and that was probably because her mom was to busy teaching everyone else how to do their math while she was tutoring. Savannah even earned her first letter in Elementary. We are going to hold off on the lettermans jacket though.

Kaylie did so well this year. Her teacher was so creative and made learning fun. Kaylie got all A's all year and is doing better at concentrating in class. She is such a good friend to everyone. The hardest thing she had to deal with this year was friends who didn't want to play with her other friends and she didn't want to choose. It starts early with girls.

This one is one of a kind. We were going to the park and not only did we have to wear a skirt we had to wear our cowgirl boots. Then I asked her to look at me and this is the pose she shot at me. This one is going to be a handfull.

Here is the Golden Gate Bridge, or that is what we are calling it. I am just so excited she picked this instead of a mission. I got out of that crazy project they expect fourth graders

The end of Savannah's softball season. She had a great time playing. She improved so much and really enjoyed all her new friends. I just love her attitude about sports you win some you loose some. Her attitude when her dad was trying to teach her wasn't the best part of it but I still think they got closer when they practiced. Jacob was always there to cheer her on and we both loved that. I hope she continues to try sports and figure out what she likes best.

Jacob and I were able to escape the day after Mothers Day and the day after I got my new dream camera. I love taking pictures and I love spending time with my husband. I acted like I was taking trips all over the world and taking pictures like they were the real thing it was so fun. Jacob got into it too he took the picture of the statue of Liberty and he did a good job. I am taking classes with my dad to learn about my camera and I love learning how to take better pictures and I love spending time with my dad. This would be the first thing my dad and I have done together and I am loving it.

Here is the update on our family. We have been so crazy busy. This month Savannah turned 10! Wow double digits! We made our own chocolates and our own funniest home videos at her party with her friends this year.

Grandma Krumm joined Grandpa Krumm in Heaven. They brought so much joy to all that knew them they are truely being missed.

We went to a party and stayed for hours playing. Jacob and Savannah loved to play this dancing game, Kaylie was on a mission for tickets and Paige just wanted to play with the couple of things she could figure out. Even our biggest kid got to enjoy the dinasour ride.

Easter

Easter was small with only Paige with us this year. She was so excited about her Easter dress she did not take it off all day. We went to church but I was feeling so bad I was laying my head on Jacob all through Sacrament so I went home early. After I rested I went with Jacob to his cousin Jennifer Morris's house. They have a beautiful house and we enjoyed meeting everyone. Paige got to hunt for eggs and she got into it this year. We also got to go to Grandma and Grandpa Richards' house for dessert. Paige and Andy had a great time together while the adults talked. I love having so much family around and I am so greatful that we can celebrate and remember all that Christ has done for us.

Abby invited all the kids to Rollerama to celebrate turning 6! The kids were still not feeling well but they did not want to miss out. We have been fighting this aweful cold and cough. Our Garden

We finally did it! We planted a garden on the side of the house. The kids helped prepare the ground, pick out the plants at the nursery (72 plants) and also planted most of them. They did very good and they are so excited about all the food they will be growing in their back yard. They kept saying it will probably work this time. We tried seeds last time and forgot to water them but we are going to do better with a drip system daddy is going to set up from the sprinkler system. Wish us luck!

Grandpa Krumm died a couple of weeks ago and we all miss him. He was a man that was so possitive and he loved life. He loved his wife Lois, he loved to dance, sing and gamble. He will be missed by all who knew him. We just had family leave Bakersfield. All of Jacob's family came into town and we got to spend time together. Here is a picture of all the great grandchildren playing red light green light at a dinner we had before the funeral. This picture is missing a couple but most of them were playing. They had a great time together. We really enjoyed seeing all of the family together.

Oceanside

Here we are on our yearly trip to the ocean. Grandma and Grandpa Bigelow couldn't make it this year and we missed them. We got to stay in their condo for a week with Grandma Bulkeley and Great Grandma and Grandpa Richards. We played in the sand and looked for shells mostly at the beach. The first day we found so many whole sand dollars that I had the kids throw most of them back in the ocean. We found more each day though. I had never found a whole one before it was cool. We got to go on the train to Old Town San Diego and enjoyed the life back in time for a day. The view was beautiful each day, thanks Grandma and Grandpa's for the great week.

I got an HD camcorder that takes pictures for my birthday. I took this picture with it , not impressed. We had fun roller-skating. All the kids skated by themselves exept Nate. But he got better. Paige and Daddy stayed home. We'll probobly go skating more since there's only 2 more to teach.

Christmas Eve

This year we had Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Bulkeley's house. After the ham feast and the Nativity play put on by the kids, Uncle Thad and Jacob, Santa Clause dropped off a very long letter and presents for everyone in a big red bag at the door while we were singing. They all got matching monkey pj's. Nate got gorrilla pj's and they all got a Curious George stuffed animal from Santa.

Snow

We went up to Sierra Summit this year to play in the snow. The whole drive up was rainy and foggy but as soon as we got there it was sunny for two and a half hours. When we left it started snowing. We had a great time at the campground we found. We had a hill for sledding, a bathroom to ourselves, a picnic table, a rope swing and a bridge. We had a great time and thanks to our snow suits we lasted a long time. We also made a snowman and the kids made snow angels. We hope to always carry on the tradition of finding snow at Christmas time.

Grandma and Grandpa Krumm

Christmas Parties

Jacob has three parties to attend each year. We got to go to Ventura one weekend, Avila Beach one weekend and also a party in Bakersfield all in December. We had a great time dancing together at all of the parties, enjoyed the good food and free hotel stay on the beach for two of them. It is so nice to be able to get away together atleast once a year.

Tha Nativity

I can't believe it is over! I went to UVSC in 1995 with a goal of being a math teacher and I just now thirteen years, five kids, and four Universities later got my Bachelors Degree in Mathematics Education. The whole family was there to chear me on. I loved showing the kids how important this was to me and I hope it will be important to them too. Thanks to all of those who supported me and helped me get through school. Savannah calls me "the mathematician" now, they were waving at me though the whole ceremony it was awesome. I was the only one graduating with a family picture with five children you should have seen all the looks.

Ventura Beach

Jacob was going to the beach for work on Veterans Day so he invited us to come along for the day. We had a great time digging, the girls made their own small lakes, they even went into the waves and we found sea enemies. I loved spending the day together as I always do.

Savannah came home excited with her award for the honor roll. She also just got glasses last week. She loves them she picked them out herself. She started saying that she had a hard time seeing things and she was right she needed glasses. She loves seeing things far away that she couldn't before. It wasn't hurting her schooling though she is doing really well. Volleyball just ended last week too and she loved being on the team. She is looking forward to soft ball next.

We are so excited about Trick or Treating tonight.

Jacob, Paige and I all went to watch the girls at their Halloween parade. Savannah

is a vampire this year.

Trunk or Treat

We all got to go the the church for Trunk or Treat. We played games (Jacob was incharge of the pumpkin toss game and he was so cute with all the kids acting like they were actually what they were dressed up as) Savannah, Hannah and Kaylie won goldfish again this year and we actually had somewhere to put them this time and they are still doing good. They had a spook alley and a jump house too. The trunks were all decorated fun and Paige was afraid of most of those. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Well I got it on her for three minutes.

Our Pumpkin Patch

Somehow we got all the pumpkins carved and lit outside before 7:30. Savannah, Hannah, and Kaylie made cat faces, Nate did the traditional scary face and Paige has a Dora face pumpkin.

We had the missionaries over for dinner tonight and I told the kids we would have to go to the pumpkin patch another night or we could go to SaveMart today and they all excitedly voted today! So they all got the pumpkins they wanted and we got home to work on them.

Circus Circus Festival

We got to go to two Fall Festivals! The biggest hit was the pony rides, holding the bunnies and cotton candy. The kids had fun together as they always do and we loved watching them smile.

Fall Festival

We all enjoyed the food, games, hair painting, and the hay ride. We got to work at Savannah and Kayie's booths, the girls loved helping.

Fall Festival Cake Contest

The girls really wanted to enter the contest again this year so Savannah decided to do a scarecrow head cake and Kaylie wanted to do a bat cake. They had a great time decorating them all by themselves. They love anything to do with baking and cooking. I love to teach them how to do things they are ready for. They didn't win but we had fun.

Matching Dresses

This year all the girls needed winter dresses so I got them all the same dress and they loved matching. They are all so pretty and they love eachother so much. I hope they will always be as close as they are now to eachother.

Hannah joined Gymnastics with us

I found a way to be able to sign up Hannah to Gymnastics and she is so excited. She is already caught up to Kaylie and loving the bars, vault and the balance beam. They are even on the high balance beam already and they do it very gracefully. The white specks is the chalk they put on their hands, they always use too much but they love it.

Second year of Volleyball

Savannah wanted to play volleyball again this year with the Veterans and she is having a good time. Her coach is Victor and there are six girls on the team. They get to play the entire hour of the games. They are all getting their serves over pretty consistently this year. Jacob helped her with her serve at the park last week so we will see if she can do it at the game tomorrow. She has two more games left. All of her sisters are eager to join the volleyball team next year too.

Student of the Month

Savannah was the first student of the month in her class. Her teacher Mrs. Grimes said that she didn't even have to think about who it would be because Savannah is the only student who has an A in everything including Effort. We are so proud of her and if it wasn't for my note and M&M's I snuck in her lunch it would have been a surprise. We all went to Chuckie Cheese to celebrate that night too. Good job Savannah!

Puppet Show

We finished earning our animal badge this week by doing a puppet show with animal puppets we made. The kids all got a turn to introduce their animal and share something that they learned about their animal. We are having lots of fun with Girl Scouts this year and I love spending time with the girls.

Family in Town

The Coopers and the Nelsons were in town and we had a great time getting together last weekend. We meet Caitlin for the first time. She is a very good and cute baby and we enjoyed her when she was awake (she is a good sleeper). Thanks for the visit we all enjoyed seeing you.

Volleyball

Savannah started her second year of volleyball and she is off to a good start. Instead of last year when we were a little surprised when she got her serve over or returned the ball this year we are surprised when she doesn't. She is having a great time with the team and since there are only six of them they all play the whole hour of three games. Savannah is trying all the sports this year.

Camping at Wishon

The Krumm Family Camping Trip started on Friday after work and we arrived late at Camp Wishon setting up Camp. After a few fingers bleeding from the hammering of setting up camp, the children enjoyed smores over a campfire. We stayed at site # 29 which gave us a ton of room and a huge climbing rock that preoccupied the kids throughout the day. See the children on top of the rock while Tara snapped the shot? That rock was a lifesaver and the children played many games up and down the rock face. The mosquitos were pretty bad, so we retreated many times to our tent over the table. We enjoyed the Nature Trail hike Sat. morning that twisted through wild berry bushes that were quite sour. On this adventure hike the children found a nice swimming/fishing hole that became the ultimate gettaway. The children retreated to this hole frequently. They loved dipping thier feet, throwing rocks at the fish and sticks for Buck to swim & grab. Buck and the Children had fun several hours getting wet! This fishing hole became our afternoon lunch getaway for the 2 days. We also drove to Camp Belnap where I camped as a kid for 5 summers and saw the Giant Sequoia Trees and my favorite fishing hole. It was a great trip! Tara and I had so many memories with the kids! Jacob

Cinderella lost her shoe

I was going through the girls clothes and Paige saw this dress and wanted it on. She then found her white dress up shoe but couldn't find the other one. The cept saying I lost my shoe over and over so I called her Cinderella and she loved that it is her favorite princess. She still wears that dress whenever she can around the house. This dress was Kaylie's dress from 2004 when Tanya and Billy got married. I can't believe that Kaylie was that little and that Paige is already that big.

Pinewood Derby

For Activity Days this year they had the girls make cars with their dads and race them. The race was all about the girls and they had fun. Jacob was the most enthusiastic dad though I was even asked to control him and I assured him that I couldn't. It didn't help that they got first place in five of the races. They worked on it together and had a good time doing it I loved that they got to do this together and that they were so successful.

Barnum and Bailey Circus

Last minute decision one school night was to go the the Circus. One of Jacob's friends gave us free tickets for the kids so we went. The girls had to finish homework and chores first and they got it done quicker than ever before. The biggest hit was the Elephants and the cotton candy. They had everything but the lion tamer it was fun and it was Jacob's first circus trip in his whole life!
